An explosion hit the area near the U.S. consulate in Ankara, causing at least one death, Hurriyet Daily News reported.
Ambulances and firefighters have been dispatched to the area. A Vatan daily reporter claimed in a televised interview that the police suspected that the assault was a suicide bomb attack.
