The statement issued by OSCE Minsk Group co-chair countries’ Foreign Ministers in Almaty is the consequence of Ilham Aliyev’s continuous threats of war, according to board chairman of the Center on Globalization and Regional Cooperation.
“This statement emphasized that Aliyev overstepped the limits,” Stepan Grigoryan told a press conference on July 19. “Azerbaijan will not dare destabilize the region but will continue talks.”
He noted that during the next two months the process will slow down, as the sides need time to think.
“Even if Azerbaijan violates the ceasefire and launches hostilities, the Armenian side should just rebuff the attack, without advancing,” Grigoryan said
“It’s will be the compromise, showing that we do not intends to seize lands but resolve the Karabakh conflict, what will bring to recognition of NKR by the international community,” he concluded.
