On August 25, Armenian National Security Council secretary Arthur Baghdasaryan met with Philip Peirce, the regional coordinator of United Nations Development Program on Support to the Integrated Border Management Systems in the South Caucasus.
The parties expressed satisfaction over the course of the program aimed at strengthening interdepartmental, bilateral and regional cooperation between South Caucasus and EU member states through providing safe transfer of passengers and cargo, while preserving border security.
Financial aid, to be allocated for frontier structures improvement and Armenia’s border security strategy to be submitted for RA NSC approval in near future were also discussed, RA NSC press service reported.
