Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan commented on the recent tragic events in the Armenian army.
“First of all the army leadership is concerned over the incidents. We communicate with parents of these servicemen, try to ease their pain. We need to implement a huge work in this direction. We share our society’s concern, if it is not aimed at discrediting the army and politicizing some matter,” Ohanyan said.
He assured that the Armenian Defense Ministry does its utmost to prevent casualties.
“Unfortunately, such cases are possible, by the army command spares no effort to prevent their repetition. The Defense Ministry pursues a transparent defense policy and keeps the society informed of both achievements and shortages in the army,” Minister Ohanyan concluded.
