Azerbaijani captives in Armenia experience no problems, ICRC says

On November 18, representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) office in Armenia visited two Azerbaijani servicemen who are in captivity in Armenia, head of the Public Relations Department at the ICRC office in Yerevan Ashot Astabatsyan said.

Nevertheless, Astabatsyan did not disclose details of the meeting to a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter, saying that it was of a confidential nature.

Earlier, APA reported that sergeant of the Azerbaijani armed forces Roman Huseynov, who is in captivity in Armenia, sent a letter to his family. According to the captive’s relatives, representatives of the ICRC office in Baku delivered Huseynov’s letter on November 23.

Huseynov wrote that he is okay. Representatives of the ICRC told the captive’s family that Huseynov wants to return to the homeland.
