On the initiative of Armenian members of European Parliament (EP), EP hosted a screening of 21st Century Vandals: Julfa documentary on Azerbaijan’s extermination of thousands of Armenian khachkars.
As the Chairperson of the National Assembly Standing Committee on European Integration Naira Zohrabyan told a news conference, parliamentarians were greatly impressed by the film which gave a true idea of the methods practiced by the Azeri authorities.
As Ms. Zohrabyan stated, Azerbaijan Foreign Ministry addressed a protest note against the film screening. Armenian parliamentarians intend to submit films portraying Armenian pogroms in Sumgait and Maraghar to the attention of European Parliament members.
