The oppositional Armenian National Congress rally is in progress at Matenadaran museum of ancient manuscripts.
As PanARMENIAN.Net correspondent reported from the ground, several thousand people have gathered for the rally to focus on economic issues in Armenia.
At the rally, Armenian National Movement (ANM) board chairman Aram Manukyan characterized 2008 presidential elections as faked-up, with the current crisis coming as a result.
The former Prime Minister of Armenia Hrant Bagratyan, in turn, called on rally participants to unite for revolution, citing Egypt, Tunisia and Kyrgyzstan as example. ANC coordinator Levon Zurabyan stated that the authorities seek to shift an expected defeat in Karabakh war on the chaos, allegedly caused by the opposition.
