All three Presidents of Armenia stated that they respect the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, which, however, has nothing to do with Artsakh, said a spokesman for the ruling Republican Party of Armenia.
“Artsakh has never been a part of independent Azerbaijan. Karabakh conflict is not a territorial dispute. It’s a matter of self-determination, the right to which was legally exercised by the people of Artsakh,” Eduard Sharmazanov told a press conference in Yerevan when commenting on RA President Serzh Sargsyan’s statement that Armenia doesn’t recognize independence of Nagorno Karabakh due to respect for Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity.
As to change of format of talks, Sharmazanov said it will only damage the negotiation process.
