Heritage candidate says the party will have more parliament seats

Tevan Poghosyan nominated by Heritage party’s proportional list for the National Assembly elections met with journalists on May 2.

“Heritage established a broad platform comprising wide social strata,” he told the press conference in Yerevan adding they do not aim to attract people into the party but rather unite those who have certain ideas and enable them to put these ideas into practice.

Independent candidate Arman Musheghyan running by Heritage's proportional list said the party is engaged in real politics.

“It does not include people belonging to “new” and “old teams”, those whose past can be compromised; this is the reason people choose this way,” he said with regard to recent criticism addressed to Heritage.

According to Poghosyan, they had an opportunity to visit all Armenian provinces and meet with their supporters.

“We will have a wide representation in the parliament. The more diverse our political arena is, the more opposition forces are represented in the parliament, the more beneficial it will be for us,” he mentioned saying upon getting a deputy mandate he is going to establish a framework for activities of non-governmental organizations.
