Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan met with Kuwaiti Sheikha Fariha Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on May 14.
Al-Sabah known worldwide for her charity activities is the president of the Kuwait Association for The Ideal Family.
Sargsyan welcomed the prominent public figure in Armenia, saying her beneficent actions alleviate people's pain, the presidential press service reports.
The parties emphasized that Armenian-Kuwaiti intergovernmental relations are based on deep respect and mutual trust between the two peoples. Armenian leader voiced confidence that Sheikha's visit will mark a new page in further development of bilateral ties.
Mentioning the centuries-long friendship between the Armenian and Arab peoples, Sargsyan expressed his gratitude to Kuwaiti authorities and personally the Sheikha for their warm and kind attitude to the Armenian community in Kuwait.
