It seems every manufacturer has come to Computex with some or the other unusual laptop/ultrabook design. After some crazy hardware from Asus, we now have Toshiba with its 21:9 ultrabook Satellite U840W, NDTV Gadgets reported.
Thanks to the unusual 14-inch 1792×768 display, Toshiba Satellite U840W allows consumers to play wide-screen movies without any black bars. At 0.81 thickness and four pounds, it might not be a typical ultrabook, but it reportedly provides all day battery life.
Other features of the ultrabook include support for up to 10GB of RAM, 500GB HDD with 32GB SSD, USB 3.0 ports, Wi-Di support, and a backlit keyboard.
According to the company, Toshiba Satellite U840W will be available in Q3 of this year for 899 Pounds (around Rs. 76,900).
