According to Hraparak daily, the head of the State Commission for the Protection of Economic Competition (SCPEC) Artak Shaboyan requested the President for bodyguards to provide his safety.
“No one knows what sort of revelations by the Committee necessitated Shaboyan’s protection. To the best of our knowledge, the Committee hasn’t so far distinguished itself by serious exposures or anti-monopoly struggle,” the paper said.
