Armenia’s geo-political location is of great significance, head of Constitutional Law Union said.
“The political regimes exerted in Armenia may bring about power shift or Orange Revolution,” Haik Babukhanyan said, deeming the disagreements between the Heritage and Free Democrats parties unimportant.
As for Armenian National Congress (ANC) opposition bloc leader’s recent position, he noted, “Levon Ter-Petrossian has exhausted himself. He has nothing new to say. Even his MPs differ in their standpoint. 7 ANC members disagree on every issue.”
Dwelling on former foreign minister Vartan Oskanian’s possible assuming the presidential post, Mr. Babukhanyan dubbed him a representative of a non-democratic regime, who did nothing to win public trust.
“Oskanian’s representing a party with a large electorate doesn’t prove his ability to win all those votes,” he said.
