Armenia is commemorating the 13th anniversary of the 1999 terrorist attack in the country’s parliament that claimed lives of 8 people.
On October 27, 1999, a group of terrorists led by Nairi Hunanyan assassinated prominent public and political activists of Armenia: Prime Minister Vazgen Sargsyan, parliament speaker Karen Demirchyan, vice speakers Yuri Bakhshyan and Ruben Miroyan, parliament members Michael Kotanyan, Armenak Armenakyan, Henrik Abramyan and Leonard Petrosyan.
