On October 29, South Caucasus Railways (SCR) CJSC held a discussion on the results of the fall commission inspection and roads preparedness for winter mode, headed by CEO of the Company V. Rebets.
The event featured presentations by the heads of the departments, boards, production companies and business units of the Company.
Participants briefed on the problems detected during the fall inspection. The meeting discussed measures to solve them and ensure the smooth operation of the tracks, power devices, automation and the proper state of structures.
During the inspection considerable work was carried out to bring to the proper condition the track facilities, all infrastructure industry farms, industrial and public facilities of the road. CEO of SCR CJSC Victor Rebets personally controlled the implementation of the inspection during which the defects were fixed immediately on time.
The commission inspection aimed to determine the level of preparedness of the tracks to work in winter 2012-2013, to indicate the current shortcomings and remove them. In addition, the Commission checked everything directly related to the safety of train operation and technology. Special attention was attached to the issues of labor processes. In early November, SCR will start inspection of locomotives and motor-car vehicles. The fall inspection will be discussed at the weekly operational meetings, the company’s press service reported.
