Armenian National Assembly speaker commented on a 2011 coalition memorandum envisaging Prosperous Armenia party’s support for current leader Serzh Sargsyan at presidential polls, Haykakan Zhamanak daily reports.
As Hovik Abrahamyan told Azatutyun radio station, “I hope Prosperous Armenia will back Sargsyan’s candidacy for him to become re-elected with majority of votes.”
“No offense meant, but I see no one as a worthy competitor to Serzh Sargsyan,” Abrahamyan concluded, according to the paper.
