Paper: parliament speaker was forced to take week-long leave

According to Haykakan Zhamanak daily, parliament speaker Hovik Abrahamyan is taking a week-long leave to be spent abroad. No indication as to specific location was given; however, it’s known to last through November 21.

The speaker’s leave, being unplanned and illogical, came as a surprise to everyone, the daily said.

Abrahamyan could have been urgently summoned by President Sargsyan, currently on a foreign trip. There’s no information as to necessity of Abrahamyan’s presence, however, it’s noteworthy that the official and the President will return to Armenia together, the daily said.
