Ivan Aivazovsky’s 'View of Venice. San Giorgio Maggiore' has fetched USD 1.62 mln at an auction in London, McDougall Auctions said Monday, Nov 26.
The painting created by the legendary landscape master in the 1850s was the most expensive item at the traditional auction of Russian art, Voice of Russia reported.
