Samsung's Galaxy S3 has received the Android 4.1.2 update, introducing new features to the smartphone, Digital Spy said.
The handset now includes several features first seen on the Galaxy Note 2, such as multi-view function for using two apps at once and improved multi-tasking.
Galaxy S3 owners will also have access to Page Buddy, which calls up dedicated homescreen panes when they are needed. For instance, users will be given an option menu with quick links to media players when a set of earphones is connected.
Other features include an updated gallery app, a customisable notification panel, swipe input for the keyboard and smart rotation.
Reports of the update being distributed over the air in Poland have emerged, with other European territories expected to receive it in the near future.
Meanwhile, rumours that Samsung is planning to unveil its Galaxy S4 smartphone in April next year have started to circulate.
