Armavia to demand penalty for Yerevan-Beirut flight delay

Armavia air company's Yerevan-Beirut night flight was never launched, with some of the passengers spending the night in the airport. The passengers were informed about a delay only after the registration was completed.

As Armavia spokesperson Nana Avetisova told PanARMENIAN.Net, Beirut airport refused to accept the air company's plane, citing the latter's technical flaws. The spokesperson rejected the information as false, with the General Department of Civil Aviation looking into the issue.

Ms Avetisova expressed hope for the problem to be resolved soon, enabling the flight to take place as soon as possible. "We'll be demanding penalty from Beirut airport," she said.
