It's official; "Dexter" season 8 will be the last for the show. After months of speculation regarding the show's future, Showtime finally confirms that the groundbreaking series will return for its final chapter this summer, AceShowbiz said.
To tease fans, Showtime debuts a sneak peek for the upcoming installment. The clip features Dexter who apparently meets Deb for the first time in weeks. "My life is none of your business," Deb tells her brother when he asks her why she has been avoiding him.
Looking messed up, Deb continues, "Do you want to know why I'm not returning your calls? It's because I don't want to talk to you and I really don't want to see you. Why? Because you made me compromise everything about myself that I care about. And I hate you for it. I shot the wrong person in that trailer."
The eighth and final season of "Dexter" will premiere Sunday, June 30, at 9 P.M. on Showtime. It will serve as a lead-in to new show "Ray Donovan", starring Liev Schreiber as a professional "fixer" for the rich and famous in Los Angeles.
