Armenia’s brandy production drops 11,1% in Jan-Feb

2 213.9 thousand liters of brandy was produced in Armenia in January-February 2013, with production volume decreasing by 11,1% against the same period in 2012 (2 489.7 thousand liters).

According to the National Statistical Service, 1 424.3 thousand liters of vodka was produced in the same period, production volume increasing by 47% against 2012. 656.6 thousand liters of wine was produced in January-February 2013 against 636.3 thousand liters in 2012 (3,2 % increase).

During the reporting period, beer production totaled 872.6 thousand liters, dropping by 6,3% against 2012 output (931.7 thousand liters). Production of champagne increased by 18,8 %, totaling 31.9 thousand liters.

In January-February 2013, production of soft drinks in Armenia increased by 26,2% to total 4 947.5 thousand liters.
