The opposition’s accusations addressed to the authorities are unfounded, member of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) said.
Artak Zakaryan cited May 5 Yerevan city council polls to prove his point, adding that the election recount resulted only in the growth of RPA votes, with one or two frauds reported.
The MP said the reports on the violations that imply administrative or criminal responsibility have always been in the focus of the law-enforcement bodies’ attention.
“The ruling authorities gained the most support during the elections. I think this will intensify their efforts by the next polls,” the MP said.
