BlackBerry to launch A10 flagship smartphone – report

BlackBerry will reportedly launch a new flagship smartphone dubbed the BlackBerry A10 later this year, Digital Spy said.

The handset will be a high-end touchscreen entry to the firm's BlackBerry 10 line, bringing competition to Apple's next iPhone and the Samsung Galaxy S4.

BlackBerry's existing Z10 and Q10 smartphones are expected to become mid-tier offerings when the A10 arrives on the market, with the Q5 serving as a budget option.

US carrier Sprint Nextel is already on board to support the A10 but does not have an exclusivity agreement with BlackBerry, according to CNET's sources.

The A10 is said to be the mystery BlackBerry 10 device teased by company CEO Thorsten Heins during a previous interview.

BlackBerry will allegedly launch the smartphone in November this year.
