Apple iOS 7 design leaked – report

Apple's iOS 7 has allegedly had its design leaked following a beta preview of the new mobile operating system, Digital Soy said.

9to5Mac claims to have seen the overhauled software and has produced a mock-up of its layout using a graphics package.

The image supports rumours that iOS 7 will feature a "starker and simpler" layout with flat icons and clearer fonts.

These changes are thought to be lead designer Jonathan Ive's way of removing "heavy textures" currently used in "real-life" elements on the operating system.

Other rumoured features include new ways for sharing photo and video content, as well as deep integration for Vimeo and Flickr.

The report also points out subtle differences from previous iterations, such as the signal bar being changed to five dots and several icons receiving a redesign.

Apple is expected to offer a first look at iOS 7 at this week's Worldwide Developers Conference, which runs between June 10 and 14.
