HTC is thought to be preparing a scaled-down version of its flagship One smartphone, Digital Spy said.
Sources have told Bloomberg that the much-rumoured HTC One Mini will be released in August.
It is claimed that the device will have a 4.3-inch screen compared to the current 4.7-inch size, as well as a reduced screen resolution.
One source added that the handset will "probably" use a less-powerful Qualcomm Inc (QCOM) processor.
The latest rumours back up earlier reports that the Taiwanese company has been planning a mini version of the One, codenamed HTC M4.
