$942 mln was transferred to individuals through the Armenian banking system in January-July 2013, increasing 5 times against the same period in 2012 ($175,6 mln).
According to Armenian Central Bank’s monthly bulletin, the amount of remittances from Armenia totaled $175,9 mln in January-July 2013, with the net cash inflow grossing $760 mln against $152,7 last year.
Russia keeps the biggest share of remittances to Armenia – $697 mln, followed by the U.S. – $27,191 mln, Kazakhstan – $11,4 mln and France – $4,7 mln, Germany – $2,98 mln, Ukraine – $1,3 mln, UAE – $1,2 mln and Spain – $1,1 mln.
