Vevo has announced that it has recorded over 10 billion monthly global video views for the first time.
In January 2015, Vevo clocked 10,335,997,898, marking an 86% increase on the 5.4 billion views recorded in January 2014, , Digital Spy reports citing a news release posted on Hypebot.
Almost half (49.5%) of the video views recorded by Vevo were on mobile or connected TV devices. A total of 23 videos have been named Vevo CERTIFIED, each reaching more than 100 million views.
Regionally, Vevo recorded over 2 billion views in the US in January 2015, up from 1.2 billion a year ago.
By last September, Mariah Carey had collectively amassed over a billion views on the video streaming service. Singer-songwriter James Bay has been named as Vevo's first LIFT artist of 2015.
