Catch-up content aggregator Freeview Play is coming to Panasonic TVs next month, according to Digital Spy.
The service brings together programming from BBC iPlayer, ITV Player, 4oD and Demand 5, eliminating the need to launch separate apps for on-demand content.
Freeview Play also includes a seven-day scroll back guide with built-in on-demand support, so viewers can instantly call up the programmes they've missed.
"We believe that Freeview Play is set to become the new normal way of watching TV. Viewers will be free to choose what they watch and when they watch it on their main set free from subscription," said Freeview managing director Guy North.
Panasonic VIERA TV owners with an internet-connected set will be prompted on screen in October when their update is ready.
Freeview Play will also come built in to Panasonic's upcoming HDD Recorders and connected Blu-ray players.
