It seems that Academy Award-winning director Steven Spielberg is jumping into the Virtual Reality craze, Digital Spy reports.
It was revealed during a Technicolor panel at the Sundance Film Festival that Spielberg is in active development on a project with the Virtual Reality Company.
"[The next phase] is about getting other filmmakers interested of course, from the independent level to getting major players involved as well," UploadVR quotes VRC co-founder Robert Stromberg as saying.
"I can say here, my company – VRC – we're working with, for instance, Steven Spielberg on a project that's solely for VR."
There's no word yet on the type of VR project Spielberg is working on.
VRC previously designed an interactive experience for last year's blockbuster The Martian.
Spielberg's interest in Virtual Reality is nothing new – with the technology a central focus of his upcoming movie Ready Player One.
