It looks like Microsoft wants to take a leaf out of Sony's book with cross-buy between Xbox One and Windows 10, Digital Spy reports.
It was revealed that customers who pre-order Quantum Break on Xbox One would receive a free code for the newly-announced Windows 10 version.
And if Xbox head honcho Phil Spencer's comments are anything to go by, we'll be seeing more cross-buy titles in the future, Digital Spy said.
Judging by his comments, cross-buy won't just be limited to first-party Microsoft games, it'll be a platform-wide feature.
This will also include cross-save functionality, which means you can save your progress on one system and continue on another.
Spencer believes this will be good for gamers, because there will be more players and a better ecosystem.
But if the reaction to Quantum Break coming to Windows 10 is anything to go by, not everybody agrees.
One fan actually cancelled his Quantum Break pre-order because the game was no longer an Xbox exclusive.
Quantum Break makes its Xbox One and Windows 10 debut on April 5. The shooter will launch alongside a TV tie-in starring Dominic Monaghan and Shawn Ashmore.
