LG, soon after revealing its new X-Series smartphones, on Tuesday, February 16 announced an enhanced sequel to the G4 Stylus dubbed Stylus 2. Much like the LG X cam and LG X screen smartphones, the LG Stylus 2 will be showcased at the upcoming MWC event to be held in Barcelona, Spain, NDTV reports.
The South Korean company as of now has not revealed any pricing details but has noted it will be "exceptionally priced." LG revealed that the Stylus 2 will be available in South Korea starting next month and will be available in more markets including Asia, Europe, and the U.S. later.
LG says that the new Stylus 2 smartphone feature a pen with a nano-coated tip which will offer more accuracy compared to the previous rubber-tipped pen seen on the LG G4 Stylus.
Some of the other features that the LG Stylus 2 comes with include Pen Pop, which shows a popup menu when the stylus is removed and further offers shortcuts such as Pop Memo and Pop Scanner. Another notable feature of the Stylus 2 is the Pen Keeper, which notifies users when the stylus bay is empty. "It prevents the stylus from being misplaced by displaying a popup message when the phone is detected as being in motion when the stylus bay is empty," notes LG.
