Photos of HTC's next major smartphone, reportedly called the HTC 10, have surfaced on the web Friday, March 4, the Verge reports.
Unlike Samsung and LG, HTC didn't unveil its latest flagship at Mobile World Congress last month. Images of a "prototype" HTC 10 initially landed online, revealing a USB-C port along with capacitive buttons on each side of the phone's home button / fingerprint reader. The back of the HTC 10 is unique looking with oversized beveled edges and the headphone jack relocated to the top. It also looks like HTC has added laser autofocus beneath the flash.
After the prototype images were tweeted, @evleaks followed up with what appear to be official renders of the HTC 10 — this time in silver. It's an interesting mix, with the front clearly inspired by the iPhone-like A9, and a back that sticks closer to HTC's past designs. In these two leaks, HTC's logo is absent from the front of the phone, but there's still a bit of unused space above the home button. OnLeaks claims that the HTC 10 will feature a 5.15-inch QHD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB of RAM, and a 12-megapixel camera.
