An hour-long drama series based on Bob Dylan's songs is currently in the works. A collaboration project between Amazon and Lionsgate, the TV show is expected to feature stories and characters straight out of the 74-year-old iconic musician's extensive music catalog, AceShowbiz reveals.
The series is called "Time Out of Mine" after Dylan's 1997 album. It's unclear if the singer is involved in any capacity, but he has given Australian writer/director Josh Wakely permission to use his songbook that includes such titles as "Mr Tambourine Man" and "Sad Eyed Lady".
Wakely is no stranger to developing a show based on songs. He has created an animated series for Netflix called "Beat Bugs" that tells the stories inspired by The Beatles songs. Eddie Vedder, Pink and Sia Furler are tapped to cover the Fab Four classics for it.
