Ankara hampers the struggle against terrorism held by Russian special services, “Politis” Cypriot newspaper writes. As reported by “Arminfo” agency, the newspaper became informed about some details of a deal on arms supplies to Chechen fighters. In particular, a reliable source from business circles of Belgium reported that some Magomet Barayev had signed an agreement with Turkish “Birleshik,” “IMS” and “Shark Express” firms on behalf of “Indo-Georgia International” Georgian firm in Ankara a few weeks ago. Director of “Atlantic Pacific Corporation” Belgian company Veli Durok represented Turkey at the negotiations. It was emphasized that some business circles of Europe worried by the latest act of terrorism in Moscow became aware of the facts presented in the article, and they are trying to thwart any contacts of Chechen fighters aiming at acquiring arms in Europe. The newspaper also notes that the payment for the arms of Chechen fighters should have been made via Central Bank of Austria.
