"Pete's Dragon" has got its first full trailer, AceShowbiz said.
The trailer gives a glimpse at Pete's life with his dragon sidekick. The young boy first reveals his secret to a family who found him in the jungle. While the family soon warms to the giant creature, other people from the outside world have a quite different reaction.
The movie is directed by David Lowery ("Ain't Them Bodies Saints"). It is due in U.S. theaters August 12. It stars Oakes Fegley as Pete, Robert Redford as old wood carver Mr. Meacham, and Bryce Dallas Howard as his daughter Grace. It's also supported by Wes Bentley and Karl Urban.
For years, Mr. Meacham has delighted local children with his tales of the fierce dragon that resides deep in the woods of the Pacific Northwest. His daughter never believes him until she meets a mysterious boy named Pete. She then sets out to determine where Pete came from and the truth about this dragon.
