James Marsden, Lucy Punch and Toby Kebbell have joined Sofia Vergara in the cast of ensemble comedy “The Female Brain”, Whitney Cummings’ directorial debut.
The film also stars Cecily Strong, Beanie Feldstein, NBA player Blake Griffin, Xosha Roquemore, Chris D’Elia and Deon Cole and Cummings.
Cummings is directing from her own script, co-written with Neal Brennan and based on the book by neuropsychiatrist Louann Brizendine.
The project is financed by Black Bicycle Entertainment and produced by Erika Olde and Night and Day Pictures’ Michael Roiff.
“The Female Brain” follows five couples struggling through various stages of their relationships: whether it’s finding the right romantic balance, parenting, overcoming commitment issues, expressing emotion, or simply admitting to being useless around the house.
Marsden stars in “Westworld.” Punch starred in “Bad Teacher.” Kebbell is in “Ben-Hur” and “Warcraft.”
Black Bicycle Entertainment recently announced Hallie Meyers-Shyer’s “Home Again,” which it is financing and producing alongside Nancy Meyers.
