The Armenian side's biggest strategic mistake was that no choice was made between the two scenarios – that of "no war" and that of "not an inch of land", Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said Monday, November 16.
Pashinyan told lawmakers on Monday, November 16 that the Armenian side had attempted to combine the two positions.
"We, frankly, tried to make that choice, and we did, to be honest. The fact that we have not been able to do anything else for 2.5 years to guarantee that choice is another question," Pashinyan said.
According to him, the war could have ended on the same conditions somewhat earlier but the Karabakh Defense Army has decided to continue the struggle as long as it made sense.
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Russian and Azerbaijani Presidents Vladimir Putin and Ilham Aliyev have signed a deal to end the war in Karabakh after almost 45 days. Karabakh (Artsakh) President Arayik Harutyunyan said on Tuesday that he has agreed to the deal signed by Armenia, Russia and Azerbaijan.
