A delegation headed by the Chairwoman of the Venice Commission Claire Bazy-Malaurie will pay an official visit to Armenia on June 8-10, the press service of the Constitutional Court reports.
The visit to Armenia will be one of the first official foreign trips of Bazy-Malaurie and the first official visit of the President of the Venice Commission to Yerevan since 2018.
The Venice Commission, officially European Commission for Democracy through Law, is an advisory body of the Council of Europe, composed of independent experts in the field of constitutional law. It was created in 1990 after the fall of the Berlin Wall, at a time of urgent need for constitutional assistance in Central and Eastern Europe.
