President Khachaturyan signs Queen Elizabeth II’s condolence book

President Vahagn Khachaturyan paid a visit to the British Embassy in Armenia and wrote a note in the book of condolences opened over the death of Queen Elizabeth II on Friday, September 9.

“My deepest condolences to the friendly people of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and the royal family on the demise of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, who made a great contribution to the development and progress of her country with her dedication and wise leadership," .

"In this tough moment of loss, I share the grief of all of you and send my words of condolences."

Queen Elizabeth II, the UK's longest-serving monarch, died on Thursday at Balmoral aged 96, after reigning for 70 years. She died peacefully on Thursday afternoon at her Scottish estate, where she had spent much of the summer. The Queen came to the throne in 1952 and witnessed enormous social change.
