Foreign residents in Armenia can now get mobile ID SIM

Foreign nationals with legal residence status in Armenia can now obtain a mobile ID SIM card (mID), according to Armenia's Migration and Citizenship Service.

Eligible individuals must possess a Public Service Number and one of the following documents: a temporary or permanent residence card, special passport, or certificate confirming legal residence.

Steps required:

Applicants must visit the Unified Office of Public Services at 3 Vazgen Sargsyan Street once with a valid passport and residency documentation for identification entry into the foreign residents' system.

Foreigners who obtained a residence card or legal stay certificate through the workpermit.am platform after August 23, 2024, and received an email regarding mID SIM eligibility are exempt from visiting the Service.

Once the above steps are completed, the applicant can visit any mobile operator's office to acquire a mobile ID SIM card, presenting a valid residence document, an ID, and their Public Service Number.

The SIM card reissue fee is AMD500 . Purchasing a new SIM requires an additional payment according to the operator’s tariff package.

To use the electronic digital signature service, an annual fee of AMD 3,000 must be paid.
