Our team will rely on youth, national values: Karapetyan

Businessman Samvel Karapetyan, currently in custody for two months, has released a message from prison, shared publicly by his nephew, Narek Karapetyan.

In the letter, Karapetyan states that the “newly forming team” will be grounded in Armenia’s finest national qualities, composed of individuals representing the people’s strong will, and particularly focused on the country’s youth.

“What the current authorities failed to achieve:

They failed to suppress the will of the Armenian people.

They failed to demoralize our youth. Having endured wars, persecution, deprivation, and insecurity, they remain resilient and talented, thinking and living for Armenia’s future.

They failed to silence journalists and free speech. The chain of information terror, lies, and manipulation is breaking, and through the dedication of real journalists, the truth is reaching the public.

They failed to break our compatriots imprisoned in Baku, who deserve exceptional respect for their heroic resistance. Despite facing death, they uphold our collective honor with dignity.

They failed to undermine our faith in the mission of our Church. The more they persecute our clergy, the more Armenians seek their blessing. The more they attack the Church, the more unity gathers around the Mother See.

These failures by the ruling clique mark the beginning of our future. Our fundamentally new political force will be built on national virtues, the resilient will of our people, and especially the strength of our youth.

We are opening a new, long-awaited chapter in our history—on our own terms,” he wrote.

Earlier, Narek Karapetyan, a board member of the Electric Networks of Armenia (ENA), announced that his uncle Samvel Karapetyan would lead this newly forming political movement.
