Former head of the State Revenue Committee David Ananyan, reacting to the trilateral agreements signed in Washington, stated they mark not peace, but the beginning of dismantling Armenia’s statehood.
According to him, the Armenian authorities voluntarily signed documents that “signaled the end of our state.” Ananyan criticized official statements about “economic development” and “establishing peace,” calling them “heralds of deadly doom.”
He described the documents as a “roadmap for the Cyprusization of Armenia,” stressing that this is the result of ignoring historical patterns and failing to bear responsibility for preserving statehood.
Ananyan warned that the Armenian people have become indifferent listeners to their own fate, allowing it to be shaped by “the most dangerous enemies.” If such inaction continues, he said, a time will come when Armenia’s name will remain only in historical memory.
