Minister says unblocking is a two-way process

Armenia’s Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, Davit Khudatyan, told reporters after the government meeting that under the Washington agreements, Armenia will receive unblocked roads while maintaining its territorial integrity and sovereignty — a development he called crucial for the country’s progress.

“The roads passing through Azerbaijan will open for Armenia, because unblocking is a two-way process,” Khudatyan said, as reported by 1lurer.am .

He noted that the preliminary signing of the peace agreement is a significant and long-awaited event, bringing the country closer to peace. Referring to past public concerns over the treaty text, he said those fears had not materialized after publication.

“For Armenia, roads passing through Azerbaijan will be open because unblocking is mutual,” the minister stressed, adding that when there is additional information to share, the government will provide it.
