On the occasion of Knowledge Day, Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II addressed students and educators with a patriarchal message of blessing and encouragement.
He reminded that the gift of knowledge and the ability to learn are blessings from God, bringing true value when anchored in faith and divine guidance. Quoting the Book of Proverbs, he noted that wisdom and understanding safeguard life and lead to salvation.
“Our people have lived with an unshakable love for knowledge, which helped them overcome the trials of history and build a rich spiritual and intellectual heritage,” the Catholicos said.
Addressing students, he emphasized: “Today marks the beginning of another stage of diligent study, acquisition of knowledge, recognition of values, and spiritual and intellectual growth. Our paternal message to you is to follow your studies with dedication, grow in love for God and the homeland, and use your accumulated knowledge for the well-being and advancement of our people.”
He extended strength and blessings to teachers, urging them to lead their students into the world of knowledge in the spirit of Sahak and Mesrop, raising them as worthy children of the nation and responsible citizens of the state.
“Our prayer is that Almighty God grant peace to our homeland and people throughout the world. May the Lord bless our children with wisdom and light of spirit and abundantly reward the dedication of all who serve the cause of education. We wish you a blessed new academic year,” his message concluded.
