Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) President Jin Liqun during a working visit to Beijing.
Pashinyan emphasized that Armenia’s membership in the AIIB opens up new opportunities for investment initiatives. Both sides noted that their cooperation could play a crucial role in advancing infrastructure projects.
They discussed possible areas for joint work, including projects in transport, energy, and communication infrastructure. Pashinyan also presented the Academic City project, highlighting the importance of the bank’s involvement as an investor.
Jin Liqun stated that the AIIB is ready to support Armenia’s economic and scientific-educational development by investing in projects aimed at long-term growth and regional connectivity.
The two parties agreed to continue their efforts to deepen cooperation.
