Armenia’s largest science and technology outreach event, “Science Week: Armenia 2025,” will run September 30 – October 5 under the motto “Develop with Science.”
The festival aims to gather over 50,000 visitors and involve around 300 schools and kindergartens across Yerevan and the regions through decentralized events.
The central event, the Science Festival at Freedom Square, will span six days, showcasing the intersections of science, technology, engineering, science fiction, and art, with participation from Armenia’s leading academic, educational, technological, and creative institutions.
Thematic sections include:
- Develop with Science (Sept 30–Oct 1) – Applied science and innovation stories, experiments, projects, and demonstrations by Armenian research institutes.
- Why Become a Scientist and Engineer (Oct 2–3) – Career orientation days with universities, labs, innovation hubs, and researchers.
- Expanding Imagination (Oct 4–5) – A blend of science fiction and art through literature, film, comics, games, and futuristic projects.
In parallel, schools and kindergartens nationwide will host scientific experiments, games, and showcases, using special packages prepared for “Science Week: Armenia.” The goal is to foster interest in science, technology, and engineering from an early age.
The initiative is organized by Gituzh, with support from Armenia’s Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, Yerevan Municipality, and the National Academy of Sciences. The event’s main sponsor is YoHealth, with Team Telecom Armenia as technological partner and Ameriabank as innovation partner.
