Armenia, Iran sign memorandum after consular talks

On September 9, the foreign ministries of Armenia and Iran held their 13th round of consular consultations in Yerevan. The Armenian delegation was led by Foreign Ministry Secretary General Davit Karapetyan, while the Iranian side was headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Vahid Jalalzadeh.

The agenda included discussions on the implementation of the 1963 Vienna Convention on Consular Relations and issues related to the rights and legal interests of citizens and legal entities of both countries.

Both sides emphasized the importance of continued efforts by their foreign ministries to expand cooperation in judicial, economic, trade, scientific, and educational fields.

The consultations concluded with the signing of a memorandum between the two ministries.
