Armenian president, AAA discuss ongoing projects in Yerevan

President of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan received Bryan Ardouny, Executive Director of the Armenian Assembly of America (AAA), along with Board of Trustees Co-Chair Oscar Tatosian and former Co-Chair Anthony Barsamian. Welcoming the guests, Khachaturyan said he was pleased to host representatives of the Assembly and was well aware of its important and effective work.

The President emphasized the Assembly’s role in delivering objective information about Armenia and the region not only to U.S. audiences but also to the wider international community. He also highlighted the Assembly’s consistent efforts on pan-Armenian issues, aimed at strengthening U.S.-Armenian cooperation and raising Armenia’s profile in the region and on the global stage.

Discussing the Assembly’s programs in Armenia, Khachaturyan stressed their importance for the country’s development. The sides also exchanged views on the significance of hosting the 17th Conference of the Parties (COP-17) to the Convention on Biological Diversity in Armenia in 2026.

The meeting also touched on Armenia’s relations with neighboring states, as well as domestic political and general social developments. Concluding the discussion, the President answered the delegation’s questions on various aspects of political, economic, and public life.
