Iran’s Ambassador to Armenia, Mehdi Sobhani, who is completing his diplomatic mission, reaffirmed Iran’s support for Armenia’s efforts to establish peace and stability in the region during a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan.
At the start of the meeting, Grigoryan thanked the ambassador on behalf of himself and the government for his contributions to strengthening Armenia–Iran relations during his tenure.
Ambassador Sobhani expressed gratitude for the constructive partnership that had been built, stressing: “Iran continues to support Armenia’s efforts to establish lasting stability and peace in the region.”
The sides reviewed progress made in recent years in expanding bilateral cooperation across several key areas and exchanged views on upcoming initiatives and potential new joint projects.
At the close of the meeting, Grigoryan wished Sobhani success in his future endeavors, emphasizing that he would remain a friend of Armenia.
For his contribution to strengthening Armenian–Iranian ties, Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan awarded Ambassador Sobhani the Order of Friendship, granted by a presidential decree, and wished him further success in his career.
